Overview:

The CW Network, LLC is a limited liability joint venture between the CBS Entertainment Group unit of Paramount Global, the former majority owner of the defunct television network UPN, and the Warner Bros. unit of Warner Bros. Discovery, the former majority owner of the defunct television network The WB. The network's name is an acronym of the initial letters of its two parent firms at the time of its inception: "C" for CBS Corporation and "W" for Warner Bros. Entertainment.

As of December 2021, the network almost reached 350 million households in the United States. That is 99% of cable TV subscribers in the USA. According to Nielsen scores, this makes The CW the largest U.S. broadcast network by population reach percentage available on streaming, cable and satellite television.
